Katrina Mellott, B.S.Ed.,
BCaBA, is a certified teacher who completed her undergraduate studies
in education at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. She completed
post-graduate coursework in behavior analysis with Dr. Vincent Carbone,
and completed courses in Holy Family University’s master’s
program in special education. Katrina worked with several families
as a home therapist for many years. Her responsibilities included
creating individual programs based upon the ABLLS, direct instruction,
and ABA/VB services. She was the Head Teacher of an autistic classroom
in the Council Rock School District in Bucks County, PA. In that
position, she provided home and school consultation, behavior and
curriculum support, IEP development, assessments, evaluations, and
program design. She has presented workshops through POAC (Parents
of Autistic Children), as well as for school districts throughout
Colorado, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Ireland.
She has helped to create assessments, manuals, and workshops used
by school districts and administration to assess and train staff.
Katrina is currently utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior
Analysis/Verbal Behavior as a consultant to over 20 classrooms across
eight different school districts.
